New Arrival Baby Card (CCMC104)

My friend that I made the frame for is also now getting a card since I had some time to night to play around.

I based it on a challenge (CCMC104 - Sketch Challenge - Connie and Mary are very talented ladies, you should check out their site!)so that I could have something to enter AND have a card for the shower on Sunday.

Two birds I tell ya!

OH and I forgot ... I lost my head and wrapped the ribbon around the card and had these huge, totally uneven, ugly ends left sitting there already glued down of course so I had to decorate the inside too! lol ... So I've added a picture of that too ... its simple but it works!

Teal, teal everywhere!

There is a chanllenge over on Paper Players blog (http://www.alwaysplayingwithpaper.blogspot.com/ Lesley and her designers do some beautiful work you should check it out) that I wanted to participate in and I only had an hour this morning to do it! So I decided to use my left over paper from my crafting card set yesterday.

I picked out a stamp I hadn't used yet and used my Cricut for the globe and this is my first shot at an easel card!

Set of 10 cards ... Create A Critter

I finally got a few hours to play with Create a Critter today. I Was at Michael's and found this pack of 10 cards for $1.50. I thought they were so pretty so I went down and picked out 3 shades of matching teal card stock and a nice beige to add some pop and a few accessories (ribbon etc). I got home and just sort of dove in. I decided I wanted to make a set of cute fairly generic cards to have on hand for when I don't have time to make something.

I had my new fancy Punny stamps by My Pink Stamper and a set I picked up at Michael's and those are what I used on all 10 cards.

I decided that I wanted to create all different looks but use all the same material (I bet you could tell that from the picture! :) ) and just one cartridge. So with my card stock, teal ribbon, buttons, grommets, and a bottle of stickles I got to work.

I'm really happy with them and I'm even happier that I have something to put in my drawer to pull out last minute when I don't have time to craft!

Baby Gift

A friend of mine is having a baby soon and so as her baby shower gift I made this frame to match her nursery. She has an enchanted forest theme and so I used create a critter (FINALLY!) to make the frame and colours from her crib bedding etc.

Now I'm off to try and make 10 cards ... using one colour theme, Create a Critter and make them for all different occasions! Woah! lol

Soon

Ok so I'm wrapping up June and I think ... I THINK ... I see some crafting light ahead. I'm hoping to break into Create a Critter and My Pink Stamper stamps this Saturday morning and make a set of cards. I'm so excited that I can barely stand it. I have not been able to touch a crafty item in more then a week!!!

No time yet this week to craft ...

I'm dreaming about crafting this week ... my table is all clean and tidy and my new Mt Pink Stamper stamps are sitting there waiting for use AND my Create a Critter cartridge showed up ... which I bought to use with the stamps ... basically my whole den is taunting me. Unfortunatly it might even be a week or so before I find time to really sit down and play but I wanted to express my longing! lol

3:00 ... End of my little craft day.

So I finished off the day and it was one of my most productive ... sadly my vacuum and dishes are calling my name so I have to finish up. Craft room is a mess, meh that's not really new. I'm posting one of the frames I worked on last night and the matching card. I got those finished this afternoon. I also finished my other frame but it is drying and can't be put together yet. Alright enough stalling house cleaning here I come. :) Have a great rest of the weekend everyone.

PS. The colours do match ... the flash created an issue or something :).

Wedding Set

I was up until about 2:30 AM last night crafting ... After the glitter card below I was on a roll so I stayed with it. I finished up a wedding card for a friend of mine (above) and worked on a couple of frames that are not quite done yet. I actually get to spend part of this afternoon crafting (I should be working on other stuff but I'm choosing to craft ;) ) so if they get done I will post them too! What a productive weekend so far.

Above is the card (Dream Big), the albulm I made them and the invites I did for them a few weeks ago (60 in total, 60 is an evil number of cards!). Everything was done in her wedding colours ... pink, purple and mustard yellow. I wasn't to sure on the yellow to begin with but I didn't have a ton choice (good choice on the colours in the end Alison!) and I must say in the end the shades kind of work together nicely.

Friday ... add a little glitter.

So this is the issue I run into everytime ... I pick out paper, do a quick scetch, dust of the cricut ... and though go totally mad for an hour trying to make one card! ONE. This little project above started out as a round card .... with lace .... red paper ... and one hour (one whole hour) later I ended up here. So I don't know why my brain does this to me. This card should take no time at all! OF course it didn't once I let go of the idea for the other card and turned the center stamped images into this. Now don't get me wrong I like this card that isn't the issue. The issue is the time lost. I should have made 4 or 5 cards in that amount of time ... Oh well no use really complaining I guess, I still made a card! :)

Paper Dolls

As a cricut lover I had to add some of my dolls from past cricut swaps etc. to my new blog. Pictured are Dolly Parton, Jasmine, Annie, Frog Princess, King Kong, Sally (nightmare before christmas) and Shirly Temple!

My Sister

So my sister had a request ... a door hanger of sorts for her work space at work. Apparently everyone had baby photo's up ... so she requested and I crafted a funky little hanging picture frame for her. I'm really happy with the colours and she seemed really happy with it.
